Fees and Billing Information

Surgery Fees & Hospital Information

Clear guidance for procedures performed under General Anaesthetic (GA), Local Anaesthetic (LA), or IV Sedation.

Why can’t I get a quote before my consultation?

Your surgical fee will be provided straight after your consultation. Every case is different, so quotes can only be finalised once the surgeon has assessed your needs in person.

Fees vary based on:

  • Procedure complexity (e.g., simple vs complex extractions, single vs multiple teeth, bone grafting, corrective jaw surgery).

  • Time required in theatre and anticipated difficulty (access, bone density, impactions).

  • Anaesthetic type (LA in the chair, IV sedation, or GA in hospital).

  • Additional procedures needed for the best clinical outcome (e.g., membranes, grafting, exposure of teeth).

During your consultation, the surgeon reviews your medical history, examines you, and interprets your X‑rays/3D imaging. Only then can we prepare a personalised treatment plan and itemised quote. This ensures accuracy and avoids unexpected changes on the day.

Local Anaesthetic (LA) fees

If you feel comfortable having your procedure done awake and numb in the dental chair, LA may be suitable.

  • Only one fee applies for treatment performed under LA.

  • Please ask your surgeon whether your procedure is appropriate for LA.

LA can be a great option for suitable cases and often reduces overall costs because hospital and anaesthetist fees do not apply.

Hospitals we work with:

Hospital admission paperwork

Please complete and return admission paperwork to your hospital at least one week prior to surgery. You can submit in person, via email, or complete online:

When will I know my admission time?

The hospital will call or text you after 3:00 pm on the business day before your surgery to advise:

  • When to begin fasting; and

  • What time to arrive.

We aim to run on time, but delays can occur. Consider bringing a book or magazine on the day.

How do I claim my rebate?

After surgery, you can claim any rebate from your health fund (if applicable).

  • Claims can’t be made beforehand because item numbers may change during surgery.

  • An updated invoice and receipt will be emailed or posted to you the next business day.
